Adequate business climate to Saudi investors and businessmen in Tunisia

President Béji Caid Essebsi expressed, on Wednesday in Riyadh, Tunisia’s will to guarantee an adequate business climate and resolve the difficulties faced by the Saudi investors and businessmen. Caid Essebsi whose official visit in Saudi Arabia ends on Wednesday, underlined that the Tunisian government has already achieved an important step in matters of support of private investment, through the adoption of a law on public/private partnership (PPP).

Pending the approval of the draft investment code, “Tunisia remains ready to host the Saudi investors, in particular, and the Arab investors in general, underlined the Head of State who was speaking during a meeting with the Saudi businessmen, held in the premises of the Council of Saudi Chambers.

On this occasion, he emphasised the important investment opportunities in Tunisia, a country which disposes of skilled human resources, specifying that stability is returning in the different regions. Essebsi reiterated “his personal determination to reduce the difficulties faced by the Saudi investors in Tunisia.” He added that “Tunisia aspires to end the situation of economic stagnation thanks to regional co-operation and encouragement of partnerships in the different buoyant sectors.”

“The solidary action and boosting inter-Arab co-operation constitute best means to overcome all the common political and economic obstacles,” the Head of State said.

Essebsi called for the need to energise trade exchanges between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
